Maybe worth to note that outbound AYA131 to Singapore from Helsinki seems to wait for passengers fairly regularly. I had an announcement on couple of my SH flights past few weeks saying that "passengers to Singapore please make your way quickly to gate XX as the plane is waiting for you). So a short connection to this flight is relatively safe.

Finnair uses Terminal 1 at Changi. Crew on my last flight at least was Singapore based (or at least non Finnish) but did a very good job, much better than on the HKG route where I had multiple bad experiences with the HKG based crew.

And the best hotel to stay in Singapore is the MO. Ritz next door comes second.

Yes, AY uses outsourced CC on SIN flights. They're in principle based in SIN, but I think I had HKG based FAs on my last flights, too.

I noticed the same about the crews last month. Had a bit of a mixed experience also. On HEL-SIN they did the bare minimum, were nowhere to be seen and everything felt rushed. Not only on the first meal service (during which I guess hastiness can somewhat be rationalized with the departure time being what it is), but also when "breakfast" was served. They also forgot to clear my dining table after the first meal. However, on SIN-HEL the crew was excellent. Got all the extra food I wanted and all FAs were very friendly and considerate :p I was in business both ways.

In general I've had much better experiences with the HKG-based crew than the SIN-based ones (with HEL topping both). No status recognition or initiative from the SIN ones. Not that I care so much, both flights are basically perfect for sleeping, not much else.

Currently sitting in the QR Lounge at just over an hour prior to departure and I'm the only one here!!

Tried accessing QR Lounge after stepping off my QF71 up from PER at 17:25 but it wasn't open so went over to the QF F Lounge which was busy but not as full as it later became. Came back to the QR Lounge and just quietly enjoying my espresso martini. Tonight's departure is from C24 so the QR Lounge is closer than either QF Lounges - and certainly closer than the further QF F Lounge.

Regards from the QR Premium lounge, as others have said, a really nice place with overwhelmingly attentive service.

Arrived at AY checkin at 6.30 and they just opened the priority desk, early check was already open with long queue and with just one desk.

Too full still from lunch so won’t be able sample too much of the offerings.

Regards from QF F, early check-in opened at 6pm sharp and was able to get a boarding pass and headed here as soon as possible. Old Fashioned's are being delivered in under 2 minutes which is a record I must say. Upgrade didn't clear so no QR lounge this time. Another 13hr leg in PE...

Out of curiosity, did you ask how much would have the cash upgrade been? If they offer the last seat(s) for money, not sure..

Didn't bother asking at the desk and they weren't advertising...
