Checking in baggage through

Have a flight in 2 weeks on Finnair, route is like so:

AY 20 DFW-HEL arrives 11:10am in HEL
AY 1171 HEL-GDN departs next morning at 7:20am

So the total layover time is 20 hours and 10 mins. Question - would Finnair allow me to check bags through all the way to Gdansk? I just want to take some key items with me in a small backpack and check in my bigger backpack so I don't have to spend extra time with airport luggage storage etc.

They will check your bag through, as it is less than 24 hours. Separate tickets don't matter when both flights are AY-ticketed and AY-operated.

cool, yes, same ticket... thanks for the confirmation! I believe HEL-GDN is operated codeshare on Nordic Regional Airlines. I'm not familiar with this airline but it says that it's partly owned by Finnair.

For most people it is/looks/feels exactly the same. Points accrual is the same etc.
