Finnair OnBoard Menu
During the time we've not been flying, champagne seems to have been quietly changed to Pierre Trichet.

Looking at the fine print for LH Y service Japan is now the only region left with complimentary beer and wine at all times, rest of Asia has now joined North America with first meal only.

that sucks
I really dislike this concept... they shoulf consider drink vouchers for Top tier Elites (Plat & lumo 10 & 20 per year) Too bad I did not think of that earlier...

How about an open bar for top tier elites plus a quota of vouchers for your companion(s) and then FA cuts you off when one has had enough?

SK has similar exceptions for Tokyo, and it is basically because the tour operators in Japan threatened to withdraw their business. I assume it is the same here.

SK however does include hard liquor AFAIK in Y to NRT.

I remember when SK went buy on board on the European routes as one of the very early legacy carriers the Japanese tour groups connecting had vouchers that got free stuff. Can't remember exactly what. That has since died away.

I honestly doubt that would work well but a set of vouchers for times when you fly Y would be great, many airlines do it notably US airlines all be it on domestics...
personally I tend to fly other airlines in Y then AY mainly for whats included...
I CAN afford to pay for the 2-3 beers I drink in Y but Y should I when other airlines will give it to me gratis 😁

I cannot remember ever having to pay on domestic US flights as a OWE or STE+ even when I had my one comp beer as OWE they tend to comp it anyways which is a nice gesture...
On delta they gave me xx amount of drink tickets which allways lasted for my use the the whole year
