Plan to keep with AY enough to earn Lumo in 2020 but I have begun to spread my earnings out a bit. Maybe I will hit lifetime platsku next year or at least in 2021 at latest.

Happy New Year 🥳

Too much flying in 2019, I was a climate terrorist. Did not count how many, so marking just new ones or highlights:

New Airports: AGP BRG BEG MXP TRD OER KTT KRK BOM DEL KUL JYV TGG (weirdest of the year) DPS DXB
New Carriers: TR AI QZ JU MH
Segments: well over 200 (some 180 AY)
New Countries: Vatican, Serbia, India,Malaysia, UAE
Longest: HEL-SIN
Shortest: MHQ-TKU
Northernmost: KTT (new)
Southernmost: DPS (new)
Westernmost: AGP (de verdad, hasta ahora??!!)
Easternmost: NGO

Hit AY Lumo in september but quite sure not doing again by segments. Too tough.

Yours definitely more appealing new ones than mine were!

Closest to PMC I was in CCP from where I wanted to drive down ”deep south” but only visited Los Angeles and time was out

Airports: 36 (Top-8 Helsinki, Basel, Zürich, London Heathrow, Frankfurt, Los Angeles, New York JFK, Stuttgart)
Carriers: 13 (Finnair 45% of the segments, Lufthansa and American 11% each, rest <10%)
Segments: 121 (1 x First, 63 x Business, 57 x Economy)
Countries: 19

Longest: Frankfurt – Tokyo Haneda
Shortest: Munich – Prague

Northernmost: Helsinki
Southernmost: Bangkok
Westernmost: San Francisco or Seattle
Easternmost: Tokyo

This year I reached Finnair Plus Lumo. Downgraded from SAS Eurobonus Diamond to Gold (which I have in any case due to Lifetime Gold). Maintained Swiss Senator (renewed status previous year, no need to do it this year). I am still undecided about next year, whether to focus on renewing Lumo or Senator. Reaching both seems to be quite a stretch and requires optimisation. For me, Lumo was a positive surprise, above expectations.

Nah, nothing really special there. Punta Arenas is nice place, good climate for Finns, good size town and some bars and pubs. Maybe next time I've time for sightseeing. It's very long way to faraway. Especially in Iberia's A346 economy. Luckily it's 8 abreast, so quite ok-ish space.

4½h HEL-MAD, 13h MAD-SCL and 4h SCL-PUQ is not my favorite trip. Altho from there I had to go to South Korea which was also little bit faraway.

First, my expectations for Lumo were low and easy to exceed. But the two soft perks that I have liked most are the onboard recognition and flexibility from customer service. I get the feeling that I can trust to get priority and flexible solutions when they are needed. For example, the management of one irregularity was magnificent, similarly as flexibility with some bookings that required unexpected changes.
