Yeah, that is just too bad a service. As the operating carrier pays for the fast track and BA is too cheap to do this at HEL, no access no matter what card or class you travel. Not at all confusing given that fast track is a clearly published benefit of OWE status.

Just curious because I fly this route often.... why this flight instead of AY1331?

Price? I’ve noticed AY charges easily 2-3x more than BA. Although that probably doesn’t hold true if it was booked with AY code.

Stupidity. I didn’t pay attention to anything other than the connecting transatlantic flight and ended up with this.

I made that same mistake exactly once. Now I am much more careful.

It's appalling AY cannot get the fast track working for elites on all OW codeshares, not to mention on any flight at least for Lumos at HEL, AX can/is willing to do it so the more weird AY is so cheap charlie with this issue..

According to AY website a flight marketed by AY should qualify:

When you start your journey at Helsinki Airport, you are allowed to use the Priority Security lane if
  • you have bought a Finnair Business, Business Saver or Pro ticket OR
  • you are a Finnair Plus Platinum, Gold or Silver member and you’re travelling on a Finnair marketed flight (the flight number on your ticket begins with an AY-code).

Interesting. In any case gate did not open until I swiped the AX Plat. I did not bother to complain to the person working at the gate as I anyway had the AX Plat.

You should inform AX that they can retroclaim whatever they paid Finavia from AY ;).

Most likely the access is not coded into BA boarding pass at outstations. At least in the past marketed by AY / operated by BA elites had priority security at HEL.

I found out in BA lounge their system has no clue of what this Lumo thing is, so it had to be marked in as just Platinum. Even though, it should recognise OWE in this case, I would suspect BA system to misinterpret the data. Any Platsku to prove me wrong on this one?

Like first time I went lounge in DXB, I was something lower that Platinum while ffay005 had female escort service to "first class" section.

BA systems often tag me as non-status, even if I have status. In their screen it says EMERALD but group is 4+ and no lounge access/fast track etc. In those cases ffp number must be removed and re-entered until group1 appears on boarding pass. Sometimes this requires multiple attempts.

This was not the case today. BP says group 1.

BA795 and 798 are axed after Brexit anyway. No kidding.
