Not sure why anyone would do this, the costco / lifestyles deal is better.

Well for starters, the Costco lifeexperiences card is only good at Canadian Fairmont hotels.

Also because the lifeexperiences certificates have a limit of 10 per stay (though not always enforced). My hotel bills are normally many times that amount. Therefore, I like to do $1,000 of the LE certs + the balance with regular Fairmont certificates.

Is this an auction or limited purchase or can anyone purchase easily during this period? Are they done in certain valuations or select 3000$ say? How are they applied, just like cash (or credit card) at checkout? can they be used with other certs on a reservation?

If I purchase the USD denomination giftcard can I use it over the phone to book a prepaid rate for the Fairmont Singapore and include the 3rd night free and suite upgrade certificate?

There are no capacity controls, though I wouldn't leave it to the very last minute in case there are IT issues.

IIRC the maximum value of a GC is $2000, and GCs can be purchased in increments of $100(?) or something like that.

And gift cards are almost as good as cash (i.e. can be used with any rate, combinable with FPC certs etc.).

Does the purchase of these GC code as a travel expense that could be reimbursed by certain credit card credits, like the Barclays Arrival Plus card has?

Do you know if one can buy more than one for 2k. Also what is the official link for purchase?

The site looks to be down -- maybe they're updating the site.

Anyway note following: "*Maximum spend of $5000 (USD or CAD). One bonus e-gift card per customer only."

When I looked earlier max denomination looked to be $2000 -- not $5000. Will they bump up the max denomination for this?

IIRC there's a $5k total limit per person.

And there's no special link; just go to www.fairmontgiftcard.com to purchase the GC.

Any value between $25 - $2,000 USD
(do not enter ".00")
Any value between $25 - $2,000 CAD
(do not enter ".00")

This is what I'm seeing and I cannot input $5000

Does this mean I have to use separate transactions.

Seems that 2000$ is the max.. I'm going to try and do 2000$ and then 1000$ with two separate buyers and accounts. I assume the value of a gift card is transferable to anyone?

edit: Seems 2000$ is max PER CARD but getting multiple cards might allow one to purchase up to what others have said is a 5000$ per order total. I'm going to give 2000$ and 1000$ a try.

For those who have done this before, through this site, will it SAY 15% bonus somewhere at time of offer?

10:05 PDT Well, promo is showing up, 15% bonus e-gift card.. doesn't confirm anywhere on the checkout page. Also, if one buys two cards, but combined up to 3000$ (so under the 5000$ cap that is listed) is that going to be ONE transaction or TWO transactions? seems to say one bonus per purchaser.

10:15 PDT. went ahead and did two different transactions from two different users and CC's.. 2nd gift cards arrived moments after initial purchase.. all good.

Does anybody have experience with redeeming the Fairmont gift cards at Willow Stream spas? My wife and I are staying at the Fairmont in Maui later this year and I'm wondering if I should get enough to cover spa and room charges or just room charges?

Thanks!
