Perhaps you’re missing the point. How many miles and points people are interested in a 30 minute video discussing the different wines available on a particular F flight? How many have ever spent over $20 retail on a bottle? Arguably he knows his market.

Dan should call his channel "Vegetarian Flyer" as he never orders from the regular menu when flying. He always gets special vegetarian meals which can be a hit and miss depending on the caterer.

I hate not being able to see the regular menus and mess. His cr*appy veg meals are always annoying among other things about his reviews. I don’t like his channel.

He does not have a degree that is, in any way, relevant the advice and statements he makes. He has as much experience running an an airline as a gate agent.
It has nothing to do with age. And I did not crap on McDonald's workers. Don't put words in my mouth.

The number of posts complaining about the quality of Dan's videos is an indicator of how relevant his travel content is. I was never a fan, but did watch the occasional video. I looked at his recent videos on YouTube and he's getting 100k-350k per video. That's pretty awesome growth. It's funny how people went from complaining about bloggers cramming credit card referral offers down our throats to complaining about someone who only order the vegetarian meal.

Truth be told if I want to see the menu, the amenities, and the type of service ill get on a route I am going to fly in a premium cabin, I will watch a video of his pertaining to it due to the abundance of reviews he has. I still don't like his vlog, him, or the way he presents them.

Again I don't see how one needs to have an MBA (you didn't say MBA I know) to make a video about an airline. He actually does have relevant education but as an aviation youtuber I don't think he'd talk much about it no?

Some of those airline videos are educational, but yeah he’s not exactly an authority and I don’t think his opinion is really all that relevant.

The only thing he’s been good for me are the seats and lounge reviews so I could see them. He only ordered the vegetarian options so we don’t even get to see the meals.

Funny - I just came across this - and happen to agree wholeheartedly. I don't know - he just comes across ditsy, phony, fake, and a bit stupid. I don't believe for a second he self funds his trips. His folks appear to have money.

Anyone that travels - knows you have to spend money to get points.

1) Even if you do targeted spending only - you're still spending the money to get the points. (Spend $500 at Saks and get 25,000 bonus points) etc.

2) Even if you sign up for new cards all the time to get the bonuses. (I've done it 3 times this year - British Airways - spend $5000 and get 100,000 avios points. Virgin - Spend $3000 and get 75,000 avios - and so on and so forth. There's no way he's flown thousands of times based on the points he racks up from new cards - and according to the views count on his youtube channel - there's no way he's earning enough to fly. I believe him when he says he is not sponsored by the airlines - but I do not believe his folks don't help him out. (That's not a bad thing - but don't go on air and say you're independent). And he has to have the money to spend to get those bonus reward points.

I also think he's somewhat of a hypocrite. He's very liberal and gay - yet adores airlines who are from countries that don't treat women the same as men - and have anti gay laws. Yet when he talks about EL AL Israel Airlines - he goes all silent with an "I don't want to talk about the politics" - meanwhile in Israel women are executives - and they have Gay pride parades there every year. He's also commented on the environment and takes the liberal position on climate change - yet is on a plane every week ... for fun. I hate hypocrisy - either be up front or leave it out of the commentary.

Also - on a more judgmental - personal note, I find Oskar to be terribly on the annoying side too. A self proclaimed school drop out (his own words) - looking to travel - screams "loser" and unproductive to me. I frankly don't believe their travels earn them income, instead it's just 2 kiddies who want to have all the fun in life with no responsibilities or jobs. They both come across rather stupid - how they talk - act - just reads ditsy and unemployable unless it's a gender studies company looking for the ultra prissy left wing type. There are a lot of them - and it's destroying the world.

Nonstop Dan just posted to his TikTok and Instagram a flight from NYC to Singapore and claimed it was the longest flight in the world. Except he flew out of Newark instead of JFK so in the comments I told him "Hey that's actually the second shortest flight because JFK is a few miles longer" and now I'm blocked from his TikTok account 😂
