Mommypoints trip to Vegas [split off from BAreas fall]

So here's something very different.

Mostly Boarding Area is a bunch of card-pushing happy talk. That's not new.

Today and yesterday, however, Mommy Points published a two-part review of a trip to Las Vegas that's absolutely dystopian.

It's also very good and worth a read. Really.

Certainly nothing better than reading about someone else's baby.

Best form of birth control there is, IMHO.

Wait...so the blog launched as talking about travel with kids. People got mad when it switched from that to more CC-focused. And now that it is going back to the original people are still complaining?

How about just not reading it if you don't like it. I know I've managed very well not reading about other peoples' kids on the internet for years now. \_(ツ)_/

Quite a trip - Murphy's law in action! Took me back to the days of traveling with my little one - some frustrations involved but also fun. Certainly better to the teenager she's grown into, who hates us and all that. But I digress...

I have stopped doing 3 day European and 7 day longhaul trip with the family because of this. Everybody gets stressed and in the end I'm blamed for organizing it (nevermind that flights are in business, stays are in nice hotels etc).

I think people need at least 10 days to truly enjoy a longhaul sightseeing trip.

There is a contradiction somewhere here.

Why? Instead of the previous stressful 7 day trip, I now booked a relaxed 14 day variant.

Well I m certain YOUR little darlings never cause a fuss. Less fuss than a drunk businessman, anyway.

In fact no one's little angels cause a racket. It's always someone else's!

<there, I've just summarized every thread ever on the topic of children in business cabins and lounges >

LOL I thought you meant you were done traveling with your kids. That would have been the wiser decision!

Koko, my boys/angels are now 8 and 6, so no more screaming. Unless one brother hits the other. In the face/nose. Such that blood gushes out. While taxiing onto the active runway while take off. As happened last summer. Luckily we were in the first row, so the FA could hand me a stack of napkins for me to stop the bleeding as we took off. The businessmen around us in SAS 'Plus' had a few 'glad it's not me in this situation' looks for me. The elder brother cried 'omg I'm the worst brother in the world' at the same time.
