Five Types of Blog Posts Not To Click On

1. Any title containing a number between 3 and 10 (Ha ha, I made you click!)

2. Any title implying that something bad is your fault

3. Any title including "Read this" or "Read here" (Hold up your hand and tell the author to read between the lines!)

4. Any title containing "You won't believe" or "shocking truth" or "secret"

5. Any title containing "Watch what happens"

Just for fun I went to the Link Bait Title Generator and entered "blog post titles". Here are the top results:

Surprised the Link Bait Title Generator (LOL) didn't also come up with:
" Trouble with Blog post titles? Try this one weird trick."

Otherwise, spot on!

so THATS where gary (among others) generates all the crappy titles these days.

I knew there had to be a generator out there like that for him to consistently put out click bait.

I opened a blog today and I couldn't believe what I saw. You wouldn't believe your eyes! You'd have to click to know. It was a credit card pimp. Awww crap. See! That's why I could never be a blogger!

Wow that is fun. I didn't know much about click baiting. Ive seen all those "shocking" facebook posts but didn't know what the official term was. I think for my first blog post i shall go with:

"Why you should forget everything you learned about manufactured spending"
