CardBase - the most comprehensive credit card database in the US
https://www.walla.by/cardbase
According to the site, CardBase is the most comprehensive credit card database in the US. It is centered around our industry-leading independent database of more than 2,000 U.S. credit cards, 450 banks, and hundreds of distinct reward programs.

That looks like just one big affiliate site with zero value-added.

I can't get to the site from work, but this is the company that powered TPG's credit card recommendation "tool" (not sure if the TPG thing is still around or not)

Not an Affiliate Site
Hi-
This is Matthew, CEO of Wallaby.
CardBase is not an affiliate site--99.9% of the cards we don't get paid for. Many are from small banks or not even available now. We wanted to share our data with everyone.
As for matching users to cards, we do have a tool for that WalletBoost at https://www.walla.by/walletboost
We want to let you "window shop" or be recommended a card, whatever works for you.
To 84fiero, yes this is the same company as for TPG Maximizer at http://maximizer.thepointsguy.com That site does try to match you and DOES have bonuses.
The card is just a resource for the core features of a card.
Thanks!

The Card Guide
I assume this crowd is already very educated about credit cards but it's a nice little guide for those who may not be as knowledgable.

I found out about it from Lifehacker today:

Hi Matthew,
I have a question for you. Is there a reason why you decided to promote this new offering on multiple channels under the guise of a normal user, rather than being upfront that it was being directly promoted? If there wasn't a reason, can you explain to the community why you think this type of behavior is acceptable?
I saw the exact same post on reddit and a number of other sites, all with the same marketing language and all under the guise of regular accounts that had been recently created with a few fluff posts.
Also can you please answer the criticisms that have been leveled against you and the FTG app and why so many non cash back cards are recommended when a user has selected "cash back".
Thank you in advance for your timely response.

Since FT doesn't allow the use of opening multiple accounts, I'll close this thread.
