Sometimes going to Paris in August may be the only feasible time to go...Vacation schedules etc...

Going to Paris in August is the most moronic thing to do, everyone who
has had any interest in France knows that... So this "expert" writes 50 posts about Paris, yeah, I need to follow that blog for sure! |
Ah, Boarding Area, surely it's the gift that keeps on giving. Today's classic is "How Many European Countries Have You Visited?" from Michael W. Travels. In his world, "however" works as a conjunction and punctuation is evidently as optional as substance -- you know, a thought. I would've settled for just about any thought, even a dumb or outdated one. So, ladies and gentlemen, here's my modest offering in this vein: can you really visit a blog if there's no "there" there?

OMG. Some people should not be issued passports. What a small minded statement to make. I guess this solves the mystery of what people would read that blog or follow her advice. I just re read that and I am stunned.

Apparently so. Geez. People like that make me embarrassed to be an American traveler.

I'm not embarrassed. It's not just Americans that make those kinds of statements. That said, the stereotype of the "ugly American" is one of the more common among tourists (deservedly or not) and we don't need more people contributing to that image. |

Then those others should be embarrassed as well!

anyone ONLY using american stereotypes these days is totally out of date

If we're going to engage in stereotypes, IME the 'ugliest' tourists (ie, loud, rude, ignoring local customs, etc) these days are Chinese and Russians.

Wow, martyrizing yourself by going back and reading that stuff again is really beyond the call of duty. I'd rather find new train wrecks than revisit old ones.

And, as I posted in his comments: Ha! This post is more evidence that p&m bloggers just lift their stuff from Flyertalk!!! :p. ;) |
