Sorry. Yep.

And, just for the record, it's not that I'm too serious (nothing could be further from the truth). It's that:

a) I don't agree that it has legs, and
2) I'm just too busy in 'real' life; and
iii) To me this whole thing is, and I hope will always be, a hobby. Making money from the points and miles game would kind of ruin it for me. Perhaps therapy would fix that. But I dunno.

I Don't Get it Koko

The hobby is all about the money. How could it ruin it for you?

When you apply for a Citi AA Executive MC you get a currency (100K AA miles) that you then use to buy and airline ticket.

We are all collecting currency that we use in the future instead of money. We are all searching for the deal that will allow us to travel for less money out of our pockets.

We are all in it for the money, be it the money we save, the money we earn or Both

While I understand that point of view I just don't share it. I hunt to eat. I don't want to hunt to make cash. Some people say that if you can make money at your hobby then that's the ideal. But i feel that making money at my hobby turns my hobby into work. And I don't want my hobby to be work.

Like I said, maybe I'm nutz.

Blogging needs commitment and a constant stream of ideas, unless you have no moral problems lifting stuff from any source and giving it a spin.

Travel hacking for yourself is done on a "take when required" basis. You are the master of disaster, and if you let one or the other opportunity go, no one cares.

As a Senior Moderator, it would behoove you to read the thread first and then post on topic. The thread started here as i understand it, was about BoardingArea looking to add any bloggers interested in its hosting services. From what I do know, and it appears more than you, BoardingArea has nothing to do with Empowernetwork and never has. Either you have more additional information incorrect, or indeed this is another off topic post. We expect more of our Senior Moderators and that is to set examples of how to post. If indeed you are encouraging others to post off topic and highjack threads, then good for you, if not, then reread the topic of the first post of this thread. Thank you. Here's to a wonderful on topic FlyerTalk which can help all types of travelers with correct information. Long live FlyerTalk.

huh? I just linked to a network that also offers you a platform as a blogger... they package it as a pyramid scheme to get more people to sign on as bloggers, which BA definitely doesn't do.

Since no one mentioned/commented on any mod actions, I've taken the liberty to delete 3 posts citing the FT rules which don't apply in this case.

Why do I feel like I am one of many in a herd of wildebeests and RP and the boys are sitting on top of the hill with Weatherby Magnums?
