Is there any way to get insight into where you are on the waitlist? I had an agent tell me we were #1 and 2 when were added to the list, but since then no agent has been able (or willing to) disclose where we are on the list.

Was booked in to fly in PE SFO-TPE on BR7 in mid November 2025, booking class was PE Up (K). Tickets were booked by my employer around the end of October at which time I applied for waitlist (was BR Silver at that time). Was not expecting much but around 5 days after waitlisting I received a call asking if I still wanted the upgrade (which I did) at which point they processed it and deducted the points (there was a 30% discount promo on upgrades at the time). Flight was full in J on the day. Cheapest PE seats (P and T) are sold out quickly. I think it is also due to a new PE seat design. Good-bye to easy upgrade on daytime SFO/TPE flights. |
Have a confirmed award ticket on SEA-TPE, waitlisted for DFW-TPE. SEA was C0 J0 and DFW was C9 J9 two days before. Did not clear waitlist. I do not understand revenue management at all.
