Onboard Service Schedule - BR 9 YVR-TPE ?
In March I'm flying with my young kids on Flight 9 from YVR to TPE. Scheduled departure is 1:45 AM.
We're flying economy - Never flown with EVA before.
Just wondering what the odds are I'll be able to put the kids (and hopefully me!) back to sleep after departure. Do they immediately start rolling out meals and snacks at what for us is 3:00 AM, or do they turn out the lights and settle the cabin pretty quickly? And if yes, when do they start waking people back up?
Any insight as to the service schedule onboard?
Thanks in advance.

BR 009 is usually scheduled for 00:45 local time. Last Feb they started dinner service as soon as we leveled off, but we were delayed 1hr for runway plowing and de icing. In PE they ask if you want to be woke for breakfast. Taking BR009 again Feb 5th but in Royal Laurel this time.

Yes. 01:45 for us in mid-March. This is after the clocks change, so might explain the revised departure time.
Ah well. For those people who really need dinner at 3:15 AM I guess...

It seems most long haul red-eye Asian carrier flights I have been on all start with a light meal. Some argue it is based on the time of the destination but I don't even think that is true since Asia-AU/NZ flights do the same thing.
Years ago, BR operated NYC->SEA->TPE, you get a meal upon taking off in NYC (about 11 PM eastern) and another one at SEA about 6 hours later.
BR FAs are probably one of the most efficient ones. Assuming not a lot of people order special meals, they can do it pretty quickly. (Hint: ordering special meal will get your meal faster.)
