Newbie questions
I'm new to EVA Air, so sorry for these basic questions I have before I ticket SFO-BKK round trip for February. I'm currently 1K on UA (Star Alliance Gold), in case that matters...but my status will expire on January 31 -- just prior to travel -- and I will have no status on UA or any other airline.
1) I'm looking at Booking Class W (Eco Special) online. It shows "Refund USD100". Is my understanding correct that I would lose only USD100 of the total paid for the roundtrip per ticket? For example, if the round trip ticket is US$700 with tax, I would be refunded US$600. Correct?
2) Does Star Alliance Gold allow me to choose premium economy on EVA?
Thanks for your help.

No. Unlike most US airlines, PY is actually a separate product, more than just extra-legroom seats.
