EVA J Class First Timer
Hello I am looking to redeem an award to PEK and either take a UA non stop flight in F or try BR. Now I would have to fly to either ORD, YYZ or IAH. Which is the best BR outstation to fly to TPE from? How is BR J compare to UA F class?

There is no comparison between BR and UA J except UA has more IFE choices. Now if you want to compare BR J with UA GF, then I might give a slight edge to UA for a slightly bigger seat. BR food, service and amenities still win either way.

Hello Kitty is great the first time around but it's not as awesome as it used to be.
Back than you can collect stamps, etc.
Seems like EVA is just leaving it as an on-board product now.
Service is hit or miss on EVA so if it's great it's 1000x better than UA.
EVA you are guaranteed an quality J seat and edible food.
UA you are guaranteed NO SERVICE and POOR FOOD. However you get the best IFE less the screen resolution/size, and an much more comfortable seat.
For me when flying 10+ hours, I sleep for 10 hours or at least try to so I would take UA F in that case if they cost the "same amount of miles". If UA is higher, I would take BR J in an heartbeat.
Coming out of Houston, EVA's flights are always packed. I fly CA often and it's interesting CA has horrible occupancy rate in comparison to EVA(I forgot the FT term for this). Finding an seat you want, if you book late maybe tough on BR. (i.e. Window seat, or forward cabin)
