Recommend a Lisboa Hotel.

I am going to Lisboa Portugal next week and my regular hotel Hilton is not in Lisboa. Can anyone recommend a good hotel? And since it will not be a point earner, also at a good price?

We stayed at Hotel Britania just over a year ago, and loved it.

Another one that has very good reviews is one called Tivoli - it was No 2 on our shortlist for our trip.

Clarion Suites Lisbon has a good location and reasonable prices (and if you have Choice points is a good redemption value).

Albergaria Senhora do Monte.

Located on one of the hills, you have an extraordinary view of the city from the rooms, and an ever better view when you have breakfast on the rooftop.
The 4 rooms on the bottom floor have a huge balcony as well.

I stayed at this property last September. Out of all the chain hotels, this one is closest to 'the action'. It's about 5-7 minute walk to the subway; then, 2 or 3 stops to where you want to be.

I stayed at the Americano hotel. I wouldn't call it a GOOD hotel (of course, we all have different definitions of a GOOD hotel), but it was cheap and decent. Excellent location!

If you like the large chain hotels: I almost always stay at the nice LeMeridien at Marques de Pombal (centrally located, large and modern rooms, very good breakfast). If youre looking for a really excellent hotel, you might try the Lapa Palace.
