Does anyone have any suggestions for 3 full days in Marseille or surrounding area of Provence?

In the surrounding area, you must do lunch in Aix-en-Provence. I might also visit Bandol and perhaps Cassis.

One hour by car east of Marseille is famous for creeks etc. It is very famous and I forgot the exact name.

Les Calanques - Sea Creeks near Cassis.

http://www.cogito.fr/marseill/calanque.htm

En-Vau
The best known and most attractive of all the calanques, with its high white cliffs and emerald water. The creek is encircled by a forest of rock pinnacles overlooked by the "Doigt de Dieu" (Finger of God). Pebble and sand beach (no lifeguards).
Also in Marseille - Chateau D'If (by boat):
Crossing by boat: departure every hour in summer, departure every 1hr30min in winter. Tours of the chteau d'If; Apr-Sep: 9am-5.40pm; Oct-Mar: 9.15am-6.45pm. Groupement des Armateurs Ctiers Marseillais, 1, quai des Belges in Marseille.
Rates: Crossing: 8, inclusive ticket for Frioul islands: 13. Tours of the chteau d'If: 3.96.
Comments: A fortress built on a 3ha rock, which owes its fame to the time when it was the prison where Alexandre Dumas' heroes were incarcerated. The tour includes video extracts of the misadventures of the Count of Monte Cristo, as shown on the cinema screens. From the terrace, there is a panoramic view over the harbour, the les du Frioul and the city of Marseille.
