Boulettes

Anyone here familiar with Berliner boulette meatballs? I love those! My first European trip was October, 1992, and I remember how cold it was there - just had a jean jacket - and how cheap and satisfying this German street food was. Would love to get back to Berlin, but there are no direct flights anymore from the US, and I always find the stopover cities are more compelling (London, Paris, etc.)

They are called "Bulleten" in Berlin, and "Frikadellen" in the rest of Germany.
Some - like my Mrs.' ones - are very good, others taste like .... Charly, clean the kitchen, we produce Bulleten ...
You could get the real ones at "Berlin Museum" near Kochstr., may be you still get them there.
I posted this to get some action in this forum and please Rudi ...
BTW, there was a non-stop flight from Washington to Berlin, but I think LH stoped it after 9/11.
