Welcome to FT. I'm traveling so I don't have the info with me. I'll check when I get back.I'm staying there for three night in late May and am familiar with a nice place.

This is where we are staying http://www.ware.it/Agritour/Umbria/A...na/eindex.htm. Highly recommended at a great rate. They do have daily rentals. Here's their website http://www.malvarina.it/index2.htm

Hi,
I highly recommend Domus Pacis in Santa Maria degli Angeli (the little town down the hill from Assisi where the train station is). It's run by Franciscans, but is equivilant to most 3* hotels. It's also right next to St. Francis' original chapel.

Up the hill I've been told that the Anfiteatro Romano is very nice for a 1* hotel. I've had lunch here. Very good. It's near the church where St. Francis was baptized.
