Bled to Venice

This coming August, my partner and I will be on a group tour that will end in Bled. We are planning to go next to Venice on our own, and then fly home from there.
I am looking for ideas on how to get from Bled to Venice.
I am currently leaning on going by car. Does any one have any recommendations for bus or private transfer?
I also looked at train but somehow I got the impression that it is complicated. If I am wrong, please advise because I do like to travel by train.

If you can easily get across the border to Villach then train should be easy?

Local train to Nova Gorica (quite the scenic ride actually), walk across the border into Gorizia (i.e. walk out of the staion and cross the square in front of it), Italian bus to Gorizia staion on the Italian side, regional train to Venice.
Or local train to Jesenice (the train station close to Bled on the main line to Ljubliana), train to Villach, train to Venice.

Thank you for suggesting this option.
I will add it to my homework list.
