Flying SFO-AMS-CDG, departing 2-July. Do we enter the EU in AMS and then take a “domestic” Schengen flight to CDG?
We have our vaccination cards, is there anything we need to know? Also, out layover is ~3 hours. Any tips on the layover? Thank You. |

Enjoy your stay :) |
Currently flying from BER to AMS, and then transferring to a flight AMS-DFW on a separate ticket.
If I'm only traveling with hand luggage, will I still have to clear immigration and check in, or are there connection desks airside that can provide me my AA boarding pass? If I have to still clear immigration, will my vaccine card be all I need? |

You will go through a passport check. You will also need to meet the entry requirements separately for the NL and the US as you are not connecting. How much time between these flights?

I don’t know if AA has airside check-in facilities but if not you just exit the secure area to normal AA check-in, followed by security check and passport control to exit Schengen. |

That's plenty of time.

Tomorrow I'm flying JFK-AMS-ZRH, I have a one hour connection in AMS, which is legal (otherwise they wouldn't have booked my itn:eek:).
I have a knee issue and I've requested wheelchair assistance, hopefully the pusher in AMS can push faster than I can walk. [I can walk moderate distances unassisted, but the WC makes things easier especially in T4 at JFK.] In the USA I tip the WC pusher $5, does one tip in AMS? |
No need to tip, as for whether or not the WC pusher can push faster than you walk, I'm not sure if you have to wait for them and deplane last or can walk out the aircraft and meet them outside, that might make a difference.

PS: I'm in D1 so should be one of the first to deplane. |

I should have NO difficulty deplaning. T4 at JFK requires pax deplaning to go UP a 3 level helix--hopefully AMS doesn't have this "feature"

US incoming flights will usually depart straight to the terminal so there shouldn't even be stairs.
Officially 50 minutes is a “legal” connection in AMS, but I don’t buy that: (1)deplaning, (2)clearing passport control, (3)getting from E gates, with a long passageway to B gates and then reaching (say) B28 and arrive 15 minutes from boarding cut-off, even for fast walkers is a challenge, for normal slow-pokes is impossible. |

My inbound from JFK was nearly one hour late and i missed my connection. The next flight was 6 hours later (too long even with lounge access:td:). Wheel chair assistance for my new connection helped a lot, the plane was an Embraer and needed 2 sets of stairs to negotiate—but there is a back door entrance:).

Now consider most flights arrive slightly before their schedule arrival time, you won't usually have to get from the last gate to the last gate, hopefully you don't take 10 minutes to deplane and for most pax who are able to walk that distance a 50 minutes connection is more than doable assuming no long queues at immigration. |

If flying from BER to AMS, will I go through any passport or immigration check or will I just be sent straight from the plane into Amsterdam? Worried as we have technically been in Germany 8 days, not 10. |
