Well, YUL-BER is non-Schengen to Schengen, not the other way round. Why would you need any kind of staff to help you? There is enough signage and monitors and even at my young age (76) I never, ever have problems at ZRH. Why were you re-routed and what exactly do you mean by having to travel between two European cities?

I understand you must have had some "mishap" but we don't know what the problem was and why you needed help...
