Street food in Prague
I’m going to be there for a few nights later this month. I’m staying at the Hilton old town. Are there takeaway places that serve kebabs, gyros, pizza etc? I love that food and normally don’t eat until 10 ish
Thank you
Thank you

I know, and I'm fairly certain a decent number of them are open until 2 or 3 AM, but it's been a year since I've been awake that late in Prague.
They are not a real local dessert. IIRC, they are Hungarian.

But it's indeed true that it's not a real local dessert. Czech friends of mine would say it's something only tourist eat (with ice cream inside). In the same way that you see Nutella shops popping up in every European capital where not a single local would dare to set foot in.
In Czech Republic the food that matters most is of the liquid variety
Bit back on topic, OP should have no problem getting any kind of snack (sweet or savoury) in the old town up to 2am-ish based on the last time I visited Prague. Although I would highly recommend to visit other neighbourhoods outside of the old town for better quality and prices. I personally find the old town nowadays WAY too touristy. I was shocked even that the castle hill had queues for metal detectors just to enter the public premises there!

Technically Romanian even (although granted, originating from the Hungarian minority in Transylvania).

I have fond memories of the square downtown (District one?) where they had the Christmas market, had some nice food stands. The sausage in baked bread was tasty. Is this the older Hilton across from the subway station? I liked their exec lounge when I stayed 13 years ago.
