Tallinn excursion countryside

i have a choice of spending a day outside of Tallinn. Heading west to Türisalu coast with a visit to Kiela Joa manor house .... or heading east to Lahemaa National Park and Käsmu, with a visit to Palmse manor house.

can anyone share thoughts on one over the other? If the weather is nice, a day in the country, walking along the coast and through one of the parks, would be a welcome adventure.

Wife and I did an overnighter at Kuressaare in May 2017 as part of a stay in Tallinn. Good car hire, roads and efficient ferry service, but that's probably a little far for you for one day. To the east there's a nice walk at Jagala waterfall, but we didn't get as far as Lahemaa.

Thanks. But my choices are the two mentioned.
