Mudflat hiking

Heading to Amsterdam late June solo. Interested in some mudflat hiking. Will be using trains, likely staying in leeuwarden for a few nights. Any company recommendations? Which areas are more interesting? Thinking wildlife, natural beauty as pluses. Crowds and tourist traps are minuses. Might spend a night or two on one of the islands but I suspect prime time will make me rethink that due to availability and prices. Looking for maybe half day hike. Any thoughts?

Mudflat hiking

It is called "wadlopen" in Dutch and it is all between the Groningen and Friesland mainland and the Frisian Islands. I walked to Ameland and it was great fun. A google search for "wadlopen" should point you to guides/tour companies.
