First Class to Turkey

I'm consolidating all miles/points for some upcoming travel to Izmir, Turkey (multiple trips) I would like to be able to get there via first class, or business class.
  1. Any recommendations on specific airlines (departing from the west coast) which offer the best 'First Class' experience?
  2. Any recommendations on miles/points programs that are offering great deals that would apply?

Thanks.

TK Business Class

Since you mentioned business class Turkish Airlines is good overall. Excellent food, great seats, but the service is meh IME.

Turkish is in Star Alliance so you can use US Airways or United miles. The round trip award price for each is 100,000 miles. Chase Ultimate Rewards transfer to United if you don't already have the miles. Applying for a business and personal card would get you pretty close to the 100,000.

Lufthansa SFO to MUC in First. MUC to Izmir in Business.
It's an overnight layover, but best on-board experience.
