Security checkpoints at AMS
Good morning!
How many hours/minutes before a flight does the security checkpoint at that gate open? This is for a flight to the USA that departs at 4:50 PM. Is an audio announcement made when the checkpoint opens? Is it displayed on the departures board? When do they stop accepting passengers? Is the podium to check in for the flight before or after security?

I believe they open about an hour before departure (maybe even earlier). This should be displayed as "Gate open" on the departure board.
Assuming you don't mean the check-in desk, that is before security, as at most gates at AMS in the non-Schengen area security is at each gate.
Is the podium to check in for the flight before or after security?
