Schengen States Entry Point w/ Multiple Entry visa

Hello! I got multiple entry Schengen visa from Greece Consulate and I want to travel to Greece-Italy-France in August as Athens being my entry point.

I am also planning to travel again in October but it will be in Spain and Netherland only, Barcelona will be my entry point and I dont want to go to Greece anymore. With regards to Schengen regulations, is my October trip okay? or should I enter in Greece again because they are the one who issued my visa?.

Thank you.

Welcome to FT!
Your visa applications needs to be submitted to the country that is your main destination, or at the very least, your first point of entry.
In your case, that is Greece. So you are correct to enter via Greece for your initial entry.
After that, you can come back and enter via another country.

No need to enter via the country issuing your visum, you don't even need to touch soil of that country. Travel plans can change.

I wouldnt be to sure about that.
I assisted more often people that were denied entry in such situations.
A lot depends on who you are and the story you produce upon first entry.

Anyway, the OP seems to be fine, based on what he or she posted. Also fine to use the same visa to go to Spain and the Netherlands in October, assuming pf course that the visa is still valid then and is a multiple entry visa.

Oh all right then, I could have written "assuming that the visa is indeed a multiple entry visa". Probably I ought to have hyphenated "multiple" and "entry", since they constitute a single adjectival sense consisting of two words (one of which happens to be a true adjective and the other a noun working as an attributive adjective).

For goodness' sake. (Note the apostrophe after "goodness" too - it's genitive.)

No, it's simply that the OP clearly says 'I got multiple entry Schengen visa' and your comment speculates that perhaps he hasn't. Or maybe you just missed that part of the original post.

cheers,

Henry
