Question Brussels...cigars?

Can anyone recommend a cigar shop in Brussels?

I will be going there soon and would like to buy some while there.

I will be staying at the Brussels Marriott so anything close to it would be great!

Thank you in advance for any help.

Not the answer to your question.

If you are in the UK - are you aware that you can buy high quality cigars by post from reputable suppliers in the duty free zones in Switzerland?

They are sent by courier at considerable savings and have the contents declared on the pack but customs have yet to request duty/taxes.

Google.

I am not a smoker so I do not know if they are good but there is one at
1) Grote zavel (grand sablon). The shop is on the lower part on the corner. they seem good.
2) If you are at place de Brouckere, you will see passage du nord, a gallery. I think that at the beginning there is a cigarshop as well (not sure though)

When I'm in Brussel I buy mine in a shop on Baksteenkaai ("Quai aux Briques" in French) in the Sainte Catherine area behind the Marriott. (I think it's on number 82, next to caf Merlo.)

It looks like an ordinary newspaper shop, but they have a fairly big walk-in humidor in the back.

+1 on Koby's suggestion. The place is called "Walter B" and is on number 82. The owner of this place can give good advice and is patient.
Note that the "Quai aux Briques / Baksteenkaai" is what you find on maps, everyone knows this place as "March aux poissons / Vismt" : Fish Market). It's only a few steps away if you're staying at the Mariott at Bourse / Beurs.

I have definitely...

made a note of the suggestion for the store by the Marriott where I will be staying!

In checking it on googlemaps, it looks like a short walk...which I will definitely take.

Thank you again for the advice!!!

another cigar place very close to Grand Place

I had solicited advice on finding a good cigar shop in Brussels and I did receive a very good recommendation for one not too far from the Marriott.

However, I did find a much closer one which has a very nice selection and is very close (~1/2 block from Grand Place and 2-3 short blocks from Marriott) to the Marriott Brussels.

It is La Tete d'Or which is located at Grand Place, Rue de la Tete d'Or, 13.

If interested, their web page is
