LHR Terminal 4
I have an upcoming flight with EY out of LHR, and I note we’re now back to using Terminal 4.

Is the Etihad lounge back in action again? Is the terminal working as usual again…?

It is "working" as well as any other part of LHR. Passenger numbers are still relatively low, so I suspect not all facilities will be fully open. I know the Priority Pass lounge isn't, for example.

Hopefully PP will be open "very soon", according to their customer service who are unable to give exact date.

Went through T4 a couple of days ago. It was fantastic, almost deserted, through security in 5 mins. Half the shops were closed. The lounge was quite empty too. Wish it could stay like that forever

I had a different experience. I went through it yesterday and it was a horrible mess, took an hour to get through security, only 4 security bays were open. They had to control the entry into security and it got to a stage where they had to prioritise certain flight passengers.

I travelled through T4 both directions last week. Similar experience to JamesKidd - no Fast Track security yet, so in with the melee there. The staff (check-in, security etc) are all good and helpful, it’s a volume issue it would seem. Etihad lounge is open with normal service. Arrival was OK, circa 20-30 minute wait for bags to unload.

Slightly off topic . I've got a couple of flights out of LHR T4 next month and again in November. Anybody know if the smoking area by gate 6 has reopened

Same for me yesterday - no fast track and the queue snaked back nearly to the entrance to the terminal. Probably took me 40 minutes to clear, but only because I bumped into a friend in the queue who was already a third in.

No, but there were only two scanners operating and as I had arrived early around 10:15am, no waiting, time from check in to airside 5 mins.
