Crediting EY Guest from partner airlines...
….is it just me or does Etihad make if difficult for everyone to get the miles they are entitled to credited when flying partner airlines?
In January I flew Philippine Airlines LHR-MNL-HKG-MNL-LHR in Business Class. I did my research and worked out that crediting to EY Guest would be best as Philippine doesn't belong to an alliance. My Business fare class would accrue 125% which isn't bad.
EY Guest number logged with PR reservation. Every boarding pass issued by PR showed the EY Guest number. I was not surprised when a month later the miles had not credited at all so I email retroclaims@etihadguest sending screenshots of BP's clearly showing Business Class and my EY Guest number on them. About a month later the miles were credited - at 100%. ANOTHER email to retroclaims requesting the proper 125% be credited. This time attaching my e-ticket clearly displaying the fare class (although 125% is the minimum for Business Class anyway). And yep, I'm still waiting for the correct miles to be credited.
I contacted Philippine Airlines who advised me they notified EY Guest within 72hrs of them raising their query that the flights were revenue flights and the fare class.
Have others had this experience when attempting to credit from a partner or am I just unluckly?

You are certainly not alone. I’ve credited from various airlines to EY and it’s almost always a pain. I’m actually waiting for a PR flight to credit now too - obviously I’ll to need put a claim in as no chance of it happening automatically.

Did you have any luck in getting the extra missing %25?
