Amenity Kits for Business Class

I have recently flown all Business Class AUH-PVG; HKG-AUH; and AUH-NBO round trip, during March and April, and did not receive the amenity kit on any of the flights. I didn’t realize it until after I got home, and didn’t think to ask at the time. Just curious if anyone knows if this is something Etihad is quietly doing away with or now only providing when requested?

They usually provide the night package (socks, eye mask).

Last night on AUH-FRA I've got that night package without request and later the amenity kit (including another night package), also without requesting it.

Until know I've thought, that they provide an amenity kit on flights with a flight time of more than 6 hours. But that guess doesn't match to your experience.

Anyway it's not easy to find out rules at EY since EY doesn't believe in rules.

I received amenity kits on 3 out of 4 recent flights.

End of March - MAN-AUH & AUH-BKK I received kits on both
Late April - BKK-AUH, nothing. AUH-MAN I received one.

MUC-AUH-FRA in late March. Got amenity kits on both flights (for the record they were day flights).

As of April 1st no amenity kits on daylight flights but are still on the seats for evening flights. They do have socks, eye shades etc on request however.

Could that be the rule? If yes, then the question is, what is a daylight and what is a evening flight?

Did not get a kit on BKK-AUH, 20:35 (BKK time) - 00:10h (AUH time). But get one on AUH-FRA, 02:00h (AUH time) - 07:05h (FRA time).

4 recent flights BKK - AUH - LHR leaving around 8a connecting in AUH about 2p arrive LHR at 6p no amenity kits. Return DUB - AUH - BKK leaving about 9a and connecting about 10p arriving BKK at 7am had 1 amenity kit on the seat from AUH.

On the flight from DUB I asked for socks and eye shades and was brought out several amenity kits to choose from but was told they were from the incoming aircraft that arrived from AUH that morning, however the seal was broken on most of them with stuff missing so I gather they were taken off the seats from the incoming flight.
