Alitalia not paying points
I have tried on a number of occasions to get Alitalia to pay my owed points into my Etihad Guest account, unfortuntely I am receiving the silent E-Mail treatment. Any suggestions? Lost out on Gold Status this year due to this partners incompetence. Maybe time to join a new alliance?

I am in the same situation i flew 5 flights with Alitalia in December on eligible fares, so far none of them has been credited to my account nor my family's members. I continuously follow up via email and via twitter. I get different responses but my account does not change.
If you are missing miles to retain your status due to this problem once the miles are credited you can ask them verify your account within certain dates.
it happened to me and Etihad was helpful and amended my status.
Etihad says it can take up to 6 weeks to the miles to show up on your account......

I took two flights on AZ on Feb 4. Seems not having the points in my EY account yet is a common occurrence. I'll post back when I see the points or the results of a phone call.

If you are claiming miles in your Etihad Guest account, then it is the Etihad Service Centre you must contact, not the individual airline in question. The Etihad website advises that you contact Etihad if miles have not posted after 6 weeks.
Note that classes O, L, G, R, U, Z, W do not earn miles; Alitalia flights operated by anyone other than Alitalia or Etihad will NOT earn miles in Etihad Guest.

Here is my experience. Sometimes AZ boarding passes don`t retain your loyalty number. It has happened to be a few times until I caught the error. I make sure to check my boarding pass and get them to reprint it if my Loyalty number is not on it.
AZ to EY point update can be all over the place. couple of days to few weeks.

I sent an email to retroclaims about 4 Alitalia flights (two on Etihad planes in I/J and two on TAP in C). I got an immediate automatic response but two weeks on I have no real reply. So I sent the claim email again.
How long does one normally have to wait for a proper reply?
