Interested to learn where you heard this. We flying this route in May 2016 - would love to be able to do this on the Dreamliner.

What do you think?

PS: any chance of the 777 flight switching to the A380 next year? or even a A380 to MEL?
Take the F on the 777. I found the J on A380 still not as good a seat as a Cathay J class. It still has a small hole you need to feed your legs into.

True, but at least the food is edible with Etihad in J.

Finally got an e-ticket for the trip! Was a bit nervous after 5 days since it was my first AA award but apparently that's how things work there.

AUH-MEL - EY F
SYD-NRT/HND-LHR-VIE - 2x JL F (SYD-LHR) + 1x BA EU-"J"

Total price for 2 pax: 280k AA miles + 350€ in taxes.

Used about 50k existing AA miles + transferred about 150k SPG into AA (during the promotion). Don't know... feel like a made a pretty good use of my points&miles

Hey folks

Thought I'd post a little note as finally my wait ended and I was able to take my first ever First flight, and on the A380!

Imagine my utter dismay when I checked in online to note that the aircraft had been changed to an A346!!!!

From looking back through my emails it seems that the aircraft was changed in February. I noticed the departure time had been adjusted slightly but didn't notice the A380 change.

Worth a complaint to Etihad? Will they care?
