Purchase Upgrade - Get partner miles
I am flying JFK - AUH with Etihad. If I purchase an upgrade from economy to business class, will my miles be credited to ANA (or other partners) as a business class flight? Or will my miles be credited as an economy class flight?
Also, if I credit the miles to Etihad, will I get the triple miles for that flight portion based off their current promotion? Thanks!

I believe Y to J get upgraded to X class which doesn't earn anything on ANA or Korean.
From what I understand upgraded flights would earn double/triple miles (depending on what promo you signed up for and when you purchased the tickets).

Its a bit frustrating having to deal with Etihad Guest to get miles posted correctly following an Etihad SelectUpgrade. They posted my paid upgrade into X also, and although I requested AA as where miles would be credited, EY gave me 0 Etihad Guest miles as an X fare, despite their T&C saying something different! Its been 3 weeks since EY confirmed that I should receive miles, but no action to my account (reversing the EY credit of 0 miles or posting to AA -- interestingly, a later flight on EY on the same ticket has posted to my AA account, but none of the other 3, including 2 on AA!) While I really enjoyed the service and staff of EY, my experience with CS has been very frustrating!
According to your FAQ
Will I earn Etihad Guest Miles for an Etihad Select Upgrade?
Yes, you will earn Etihad Guest Miles for the upgrade. You will earn the base miles (as per the flown distance) plus a 10% additional bonus for the relevant cabin upgrade. Only Etihad Guest members are eligible for bonus miles. Platinum, Gold and Silver members will continue to earn the Tier Bonus which is always calculated on the base miles earned, hence the upgrade does not affect the number of miles awarded. Tier Miles & Segments will be earned as per the upgraded cabin.
Further, in your T&C
15. The fare conditions for the original ticket you purchased shall remain in effect and will be applicable even if your Offer has been accepted and you have been upgraded, including, but not limited to, cancellation policies, change fees, baggage allowance, and rules relating to the accrual of frequent flyer miles.

Same issue here. My SelectUpgrades show as X with 0 miles, though it should be base miles plus 10%.
I contacted EY Guest team twice - no response yet.
