Upgrade someone else using part of my miles
My brother has 20K miles and he needs a total of 65K miles for a return upgrade on DXB-PEK. Since he is short, Can I call up skywards and ask them to take the remaining 45K miles from my account, is that allowed?

But he can purchase the 12500 he needs for one way and then you can upgrade him one way as well

I tried once at LHR to upgrade our J tickets to F using all of my miles for my ticket and "some" of them for my colleague, however, this was not possible, i had to use all of mine, EK do not let you part swap, or part upgrade. Only in full. Bummer really! But my colleague repaid me by doing one of my upgrades to LHR from J to F, so its swings and roundabouts i guess!
