Which currency

I will be at Dubai airport for a stopover. Can you pay at Dubai airport with Euro or Australian Dollars at Dubai Airport or do you have to pay with the United Arab Emirates dirham?

i second that, you can pay in almost anything in DDF. I usually use the balance of my foreign currency then use credit card, or local currency for the balance!

All airports that serve international transit passengers have to accept that they are unlikely to have local currency, so most outlets will accept many other currencies but will not accept coins or very small value notes and change is given as local currency.

Also the exchange rate is likely to be very poor so I would advise using a credit card, I have used mine just to purchase a coffee at MacDonalds DXB without any problem.

Well, my card was declined at the mentioned McDonalds yesterday for unknown reasons, so just paid in british pounds... The guy next to us was paying in USD.
