All airports that serve international transit passengers have to accept that they are unlikely to have local currency, so most outlets will accept many other currencies but will not accept coins or very small value notes and change is given as local currency.
Also the exchange rate is likely to be very poor so I would advise using a credit card, I have used mine just to purchase a coffee at MacDonalds DXB without any problem.
