I arrive LGA at 3pm and plan to take EK201 at 11pm.
I'm going to see a client at the Hilton Garden Inn at JFK.
Will the EK car service drop me at the hotel?
Should I not even mention this to the agent when I book the car and just ask the driver?
I prefer to use the car from LGA to the hotel and then take their shuttle over to T4 when I am ready to leave.
I know the car would take from LGA to JFK T4 but would prefer to be dropped at the hotel rather than to then have to take the shuttle back to hotel from the airport.
Also, how early can you check in and what time does the lounge open?

I'm sure if you offered a nice big tip the driver would drop you at the HGI.
Check in opens at 7pm. If you've only got hand luggage, there *May* be someone who can check you in near the ticket desk.
As for the lounge, it used to be open most of the day as it shared with EOS. Not sure these days.
Cheers,
Rick

From what I read, DYKWIA chuck1 meant something else.
I think chuck1 arrives to JFK on another airline, and he's asking whether the chauffeur drive (EK's) can be used for his arrival on the other airline instead for his departure on EK202 back to LGA.
I don't think EK allows for this. As for booking the chauffeur, anyhow it can be used up to 5 hours before departure time only (7PM in your case).
Besides when you book the chauffeur drive for your departure, they will ask for the pick up point, and it can't be JFK itself (unless it's a different terminal as far as I estimate).

Actually the first reply had it correct.
I arrive LGA at 3:35pm on American and would like to be picked up at LGA and taken to JFK but dropped at the hotel right by the entrance to JFK.
I don't know if EK will accept any place other than JFK as the drop off point.
If not, I guess I could ask the driver if he could drop me at the hotel or worse case just get dropped at JFK and take the shuttle to/from the hotel.
The next question is whether they would allow a pick-up at 3:35pm. Would they consider that too early for an 11pm flight?

IME, they tend to book the car for about 3 hours before the flight, but phone you the day before to confirm. You can ask them to change the time when they phone (I do this so I can enjoy a few more wines in the lounge!). There shouldn't be a problem in getting there very early.Originally Posted by chuck1

I assume the arrangement at JFK is similar to that in the UK? If so, it would probably be worth asking Tristar (or whoever it is they subcontract the car service to there) if this sort of thing is possible when they call you the previous day to confirm pickup time etc. Getting an early pickup should be no problem, but I imagine you've also a decent chance of being dropped to the hotel if it's that close to JFK.
If not, as stated, the promise of a big tip can work wonders on the driver.

Thanks...I will try the tipping method and/or when they call to confirm the day before.
I did call EK here is the US who told me I had two choices:
-LGA to Terminal 4 at JFK only and no dropping at the hotel at JFK even though it is on JFK property
or
-pick-up at the hotel at JFK for the drop to T4 (which is silly as there is a free shuttle plus I would have to get myself in a taxi from LGA to JFK)

Curious if the JFK lounge is open in the hours between the 11AM and 11PM departure, well open that is outside the few hours before the flight?
I have some work to take care of and would be easiest to simply stay in the lounge some hours before the late evening flight if it was open.

EK's JFK lounge opens around 4PM for the 11PM departure (informal opening for any early premium customers first class/ business class/ skywards gold that arrive early). I think they check-in early at the ticket desk or near it.
