Long layover
Well, I have a long layover from 7am till 10pm.
I am planning on flying economy class MAN-DXB and using points to upgrade the onward return flight.
I am wondering a few things. As I have used points to upgrade, will I be able to use the new lounges at T3 using my upgraded ticket?
Will I be able to spend the duration of my layover there?
Are there places to sleep in the lounge?
I am considering using some priorityclub points to book a hotel room in Dubai, will I qualify for the Chauffeur service on the return Journey?
Thanks for the advice

Yes again.
Well, there are reasonably comfy sofas.

Yes, you will be able to use the business class lounge at T1 or T3.

I am not sure what one has to do with the other, but given the long layover, you are eligible for STPC. Check with EK. And finally, yes you are eligible for the Chauffeur service.

Anyway, will me holding a business ticket affect their STPC policy?

Excellent, OK, 1 more question, do they have left luggage facilities at the lounge?
I am planning on getting off the plane, having breakfast in the lounge/shower going out for a little tour of DXB, and returning.
I don't really want to drag my carry on around with me
I think I can get away with not booking a hotel and spending the cash on sightseeing

no left luggage at the lounge, but would be a great idea... too many pax though.
but, once you leave baggage claim (in T1, sorry, dont know about T3), on the way out of the airport, there is a DNATA left luggage service.
i think it is around $8-10 per bag per 24 hour period or so.
