It is more probable that the FA's had counted the full bottles and sealed the boxes and there was no open bottle of Australian red open.

getting ready for landing is also a very busy time for the FA's as well, apart from dumping all opened bottles they must get paperwork completed before landing this includes accounting for all BWS which must be in sealed containers.

I once spent most of a DXB LHE flight with the FA dumping the contents of the champagne bottle into my glass. She kept telling me I should drink it as they would only have to throw it away for landing. And after I finished that bottle, she gave me exactly the same reason with the next bottle Cracking flight that
