As i have only 42000 miles i was interested in this offer, too, but i was offered only the F/C offer for 15.000 miles for 4 sectors. Would be ready to make a mileage run for the 10.000 miles Y offer, to keep my status. Called them today to get the same option - to no avail. So i justed mailed them as follows:

"Dear Sir, I was offered a special promotion for gold members, offering e.g. 15000 miles for 4 segments in F or C class. I should be interested to do another flight this year to maintain my gold status - but not in F/C, but in Y class. A collegue of mine, gold member as well but with only half my miles this year, obtained an offer for 10.000 miles in Y class - something i would be interested to use. My calls to Skywards today were disappointing - i was informed i could not be offered the same offer as my collegue. I am asking: does it make sense, to discriminate a gold member who has earned double the miles this year compared to someone who flew half the miles? What would be the result? I would not do another C flight. I would lose my gold status. And i would switch my loyalty next year to Ethihad or Quatar. Wouldn�t it then be better to allow me to benefit from the same offer as my collegue, to make another flight attractive for me, in order to keep my status? Looking very much forward to your reply, which i shall gladly share with others in the pertinent frequent flyer forums. Sincerely"

Thats great; and sad at the same time. 14 sectors within 2 months, I would have missed spending a whole week in my bed

Only 4 nights missed my bed 3 of the flights were in suites, even better was one was an opup

I notice people have received different offers - but I haven't been given ANY offer!

Am I the only Gold with just under 100K tier miles for this year who has not received an offer - or are there others out there? Feeling a bit neglected here!

I am suprosed you didnt get any offer-- maybe went to your junk mail?

As I predicted at the onset of this promo I would not get the 10 minimum segements I needed. (unless a couple of totally unexpected trips come up in next two weeks - then Holiday!!)

4 sectors 10,000 Bonus Miles
6 sectors 15,000 Bonus Miles
8 sectors 25,000 Bonus Miles
10 sectors 35,000 Bonus Miles

Has anyone received the bonus miles from this promo yet?

I flew 6 sectors in first & Business and was wandering when the bonus miles should have posted

Amazingly enough, nothing!!! Funny that they've been tracking how much I've earned all the way up to end of December (displayed everytime I logged in). Here we are in mid-January, and nothing has posted. Will have to chase them.

Same for me, 100,000miles are due but nothing has been posted.

Thanks for confirming this. I called Skywards in the end to chase them up.

They confirmed the miles would be posted to my account after the 20th of january

20th of January has come and gone, so I decided to email. Here's what I got back:

''Thank you for your e-mail.

We wish to inform you that the 40,000 bonus miles under the Gold Elite 2008 promotion will be credited to your account by 31st of January 2009.

Should you require further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us.

Thank you for supporting Skywards programme.''

Why they delay posting the miles by a month is beyond me...
