How long will it be

before EK change the A380 seatmaps in manage a booking to reflect whatever a/c will be flying this years "lost" A380 flts as a result of the late del of the next a/c?
I assume there is no chance of them(A380) flying the DXB>LHR route as originally planned?
Has anyone had the seatmaps changed in manage a booking for 380 flts this year?

Cheers

KrazyKat,
Yes I would expect the JFK route to still show A380 as the plane is already flying, but unless EK pinch the JFK plane there doesn't seem much hope for the LHR route at least till Q2 2009 based on press reports. But manage a booking stiill has me on the 380 in late Dec DXB to LHR despite there being no aircraft(380) At the moment there are only about 26 J seats spoken for so a substitution to 777 would fit, can't comment on F or Y and I assume EK will control sales so as to not exceed the 777 capacity?

Sadly, I think that you are probably right about the likely result and also the numbers being booked onto the flights. Mine in early Dec still shows the A380 on the manage booking. However, it will not even tell me that a miles upgrade is not available - just jumps back to the options for asking about an upgrade - which suggests to me that the option is not even live and they are not confident of having the A380 flying that day.

If anyone has any inside knowledge, it'd be nice to know.

Airbus is still, as of last week, swearing that they WILL deliver 12 A380's this year. This means the 3rd Emirates plane will be delivered.

Will these delays affect the EK A380 coming down under to SYD and AKL in Feb2009?
