worth buying points

Hi everyone this is my first post on the emirates page.
Anyway I have some exp miles this june and was wondering whether it was worth buying 2000 miles to upgrade my flight from mel-akl, and how successful I was likely to be. Also are they confirmed immediately or are they just confirmed on the day of departure? and what is the J load like like on this route

any tips greatly appreciated

regards
damian

Ring up skywards and ask if theres seats if you decide to use miles to upgrade for a start, if there is then i would buy the miles personally.

You could try www.seatcounter.com and look for availability in C.
As for the miles, if you buy them online, they will be credited immediatly, but be warned they charge in USD (shouldn't be much for 2000 miles).

The upgrade is confirmed immediatly if there are seats available. Usually intra-tasman flights are easy to upgrade.

seatcounter

Hi thanks for that

I have looked at seat counter for my flight dates and at this stage it looks pretty wide open, and I figure for 50 usd its not a bad way of going
