Hey all,

Got an issue that is bothering me... My father is a long time employee of Emirates and retired a few years ago. As part of his retirement package he is given confirmed first class tickets (12 separate returns) per year. I am able to use them as well, however when I try to check in at any airport besides the one in Dubai, they put me on the stand by list. And recently even gave me a Business class seat when there were obviously first class seats available throughout the flight. It is annoying that I have confirmed first class seats and access to the lounge, but they won't give me a boarding pass until like 45 minutes before departure. How can I convince the check in staff that the tickets are confirmed (as it says on the ticket!!!) and to let me check in. It makes no sense when there are seats available for them to hold off like that. Is there someone I can ask for at the check in counter to let me through? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.
