Changing planes at Dubai - advice
I'm flying Emirates from UK to Brisbane via Dubai where I change planes - the first time I have had to change. I have 1 hour 50 mins to change, is this going to be a struggle? Arrive 6.50 am, leave 8.40am. I've heard horror stories of long queues etc.
Excuse my naivete but I'm unsure whether I have to pass security again on arrival at Dubai - bearing in mind I've passed it to board the first plane it doesn't seem to make sense.
And can I electronically check in and choose seats for both flights before departure?
Not sure what type of 777 it is, but will study the seat plans - though my wife says she doesn't like the bulkhead seats because of the wall even though I understand they have more legroom.
Any advice welcome, thanks

I believe 1 hour and 50 mins should be enough.
Yes you'd have to pass through security again.
AFAIK you can electrnoicall checkin and choose seats for both flights. But of course you'd have to pick up your boarding passes once you arrive at the airport.
Cheers.

The minimum connect time at Dubai is 75 minutes, so you should be OK.
There are 3 (or is it 4?) security transit points. If there is a big queue at the first one, carry on walking, and you'll usually find that one of the others is nice and quiet
Note that you won't be able to choose exit row or bulkhead seats online. These are only allocated at the airport, where the staff can confirm that you are able bodied. So, try and get to the airport extra early if you want a good choice of seats.
Cheers,
Rick
