Upon reviewing my reservation, I discovered that under "meal request", there is a choice of seafood meal. Had anyone ordered that and how good is it? I'd try it as long as it's not a cold dish. Thanks in advance.

Err, depends on the route and class you're taking.

From my experience, ex-Aus flights, seafood meal (dinner) has always been nothing short of perfect, even in Y. Think, smoked salmon, nile perch, prawns etc. Serving size is great.
The salad contains seafood, so does the side, and the main, but not the dessert

Ex-DXB and other points, not so good; well, for breakfast, you would get the basic meal like everyone else and before everyone else. Same for brunches/snacks, I rarely a meal labelled seafood with seafood in it.

On a side note, my meal seldom managed to find itself lost (even in J), I was given contradicting reasons (read been lied to) by the attendants that I decided it was worth it to order it anyways from now on but not to expect it.

terrible disaster. I hated it I cancelled it when I got to UK but they had not cancelled when I boarded for the return and the J FA wouldnt change the meal. I spewed as i had cancelled it.

by the way the ginger lobster out of DXB to syd is FANTASTIC I asked for more for breakfast and they did oblige!

From experience, the seafood meal depends on where you're traveling and when. I like to order the seafood meal coming in/out of Africa because choice on the menu is not to my favor, more towards the Arab & African tastes. However, I wouldn't advise the seafood choice on flights that serve breakfasts, even in J. Last time I got some kind of egg dish with pieces of salmon on top and it was awful

Don't go for the seafood... I had this in my preference for almost a year and it really bothered me in the end as they would serve me the other dishes, unless left over by other passengers.
The seafood is "Arabian/Africa" type and not really what Europeans like...

I would prefre a "Non seafood" option in he drop down menu, as I am not a fish / shellfish fan !

Had several SFML meals in Y on EK and they were always very good (ex FRA, DXB and BKK). In F, no need to order this special meal as they will always have a seafood dish on the menu.
