Question about ticket payment
Hello,
i would like to have your opinion.
A friend of mine asked me to use my credit card as form of payment for his ticket to Australia.
On Jul 20th, we went together to EK offices in Milan where the staff issued the ticket and asked for my CC. (they are very vintage since they don't use the electronic POS to charge the card).
He flew MIL-DXB-MEL on Aug 2nd but as of today NOTHING HAS BEEN CHARGED on my amex. I double checked with Amex and they told me they don't have neither the request for this amount.
So the question: is this normal? What do you think?
thank you
luke

this is quite abnormal, because normally the payment needs to go through before the ticket is issued. If it's a paper ticket, what does it say in the "form of payment" box? If it is an e-ticket, the confirmation should list the form of payment - which should be your cc.
