Emirates' Future Expansion

It's obvious Emirates is growing to be a huge carrier, soon spanning North and South America, Africa, Europe, Australia, and Asia. Not to mention they have over 100 aircraft on order, all wide-bodies. Where can you all see Emirates expanding in the future?

South America - GIG?

North America - Toronto, LAX,

Europe - MAD, BCN, CPH, ARN,

Africa - Sharm el-Sheikh?

Asia - HAN/HCM(Vietnam)? or CAN?

Also, why do they serve KIX and NGO but not NRT? IS it because of the extremely high landing fees?

Australia - ?

Do these future destinations seem remotely relistic? What other expansion destinations do you think Emirates may fly to in the future?

Narita is slot restricted to beyond 2010, therefore there is virtually 0 new slots available for new carriers. The situation is worse than LHR.

Haneda's 4th runway is the key to solving this situation as it would allow short haul regional flights as well as more domestic flights to be transferred there from NRT, freeing up slots for new services into NRT.

If I recall correctly, KIX's landing fees are higher than NRT.

YYZ isn't happening anytime soon despite what some people say

My guesses:

South America - GIG,EZE

North America - LAX,ORD,SFO,YVR

Europe - MAD,BCN,KBP,ARN,OSL,EDI,EMA (who knows ) I don't think CPH is likely to happen anytime soon because of what happened - EK seems have put its plans for the Denmark on hold.

Africa - CPT (though rights may be an issue) I don't think SSH is very likely because it is very touristy and offers much of the same stuff as Dubai.

Asia - Hopefully SGN will start again (actually - it may not have ever started) TPE, FUK, CAN, KTM

Australia - CBR

Also, NRT is served via codeshare on JL from KIX so you can get Skywards miles all the way.

Cheers
