Emirates at BWI

While landing today at BWI airport, I noticed an Emirates aircraft at the international concourse. Was this flight diverted to BWI or was this a charter?

I saw it too...

I saw the same 777 taxing and taking off - I bet it was diverted yesterday because of the storms in New York. It took off from BWI at 5:30pm - it was strange seeing it there wasn't it?

The Emirates website suggested that all EK flights to/from JFK took off and landed without incident. However, the website sometimes takes a while to be updated

Cheers

I was on EK202 on April 16.

The crew mentioned the inbound HAM-JFK on April 15 diverted to BWI due to JFK weather.

Once at BWI, it apparently developed mechanical problems and could not be flown back to JFK so the JFK-HAM on April 15 was (according to them) cancelled.

They indicated the crew would ferry it empty back to Hamburg as they didn't have the hours to take it all the way to DXB.

Another 77W made the round-trip DXB/HAM/JFK as 205/206 on April 16 so that does seem to indicate the disabled 77W will be ferried empty to HAM.

Yikes, I guess we were lucky since we were on EK 201 in JFK on 4/15 - about 1.5 hours late but we landed in JFK.
